New Year 2006

With the dawn of the new year i'd like to express my sentiments,
Thanks to all the people who have visited my blog and posted comments, i look forward to receiving more of them!

The new year has started with a new twist and so far i'm liking it every bit of the way..

God has opened my eyes to see more of those around me, like those who suffer and thus expanding my horizons to view things in thelight i'd never seen them before.

My People My Nation
Well this year started off on a sad note since there has been drought in my country though now we have been having some rains.
Its sad because these are my people who have died, adults, children, what im learning is how to stretch my hand to those who are hungry, dying, losing hope and just share with them in any aspect that i can.

My desire is to see a smile on someones face, letting them know that God cares even when situations seem impossible or too hard that he can always make a way.

I believe we are meant to be our brothers keeper, lets make a difference in this life. Choose to make a positive impact in our communities, countries. By praying for those in need, suffering, being there for someone, lending a shoulder to cry on and sharing.

Under construction.........

Together as one Posted by Hello

Her Story,Our Lives

Oh my God what have I done?

Never thought twould happen to me,

How can life go on? God can you forgive me ?

I’m so lost in this darkness, with no light about me.

A doctor is what I always wanted to be,

A successful career I’d always yearned to pursue,

Now tis all like a far-fetched dream never to happen,

How will I tell my God, friends, parents how sorry I’am?

Loud whispers like wild fire in the wind you spread,

Accusingly in my direction you all, fingers point, in disgrace,

With stern stares your heads all turn in scorn as amidst you i pass,

Once I was your friend, brethren, one you shared happy times with.

A Christian girl, pregnant you sigh,

To keep away from me you all quickly away sway,

My family and friends,

A failure is all they clearly see,

I have done the inconceivable,

I have disappointed them, yes I sinned.

On my knees to God I painfully cry,

Forgive me, I’m so sorry

Not only you have I let down,

Yet in his arms he picks me up, forgives me,

wipes away my tears.

Tis for this reason I sacrificed my son,

For a day such as this, he states.

The first stone throw if you have no sin,

Why do we take Gods place and judge others so?

Why cast away those who are hurt and need us most?

I pray we may learn to see others mistakes, through Gods loving eyes.

A shoulder to Lean on Posted by Hello

Will you stop next time?

I wrote this poem when i thought about the children living in the streets and homeless people, atimes we take so many things for granted, even when things go wrong i'm sure we have other things to thank God for.

We can make a difference in those suffering around us in so many ways, please let us stop and think.Choose to lend a helping hand, a shoulder to cry on, a listening ear, reach out and help someone else and out a smile on their face.

As the cold shiver me awakes,
I run forth to the fountain, my shower,
My ragged torn clothes my sole possession,
As I safely tuck and hide my bed, a pile of boxes.

To the garbage bin I scurry,
Left-over’s my breakfast if only to find,
Before the council car takes them away from me,
Or others come and snatch them away from me.

With joy stale bread today I find,
With a hurry into my mouth I stuff,
Tis been so long since I had something to feed,
Tis is my lucky day, God surely has blessed me.

My day starts as I carry forth,
Plastic bag recyclables to collect,
To the collectors my findings to take,
If only but afew coins a hot cup of tea to get.

I turned and watched you passed me by,
Disgruntled you were , nothings good in your life
Your breakfast wasn't well cooked, your homes not enough.
Your lifes too awful, God doesnt seem to care enough, you sigh.

Daily I’ve watched you pass by ,
In such a hurry oblivious to you I was,
Did you think, maybe all I need is alittle care and love?
Next time will you think of me? Aren’t I Gods child too?

"To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; to leave the world a little better; whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is the meaning of success." -Ralph Waldo Emerson

More Precious Than Gold

I wrote this poem thinking about life and couples whose spouse substitutes their life and replace it with money. Some simple actions are precious and cannot be attached to anything money can buy or even expensive gifts cannot match.

More Precious than Gold

In my silence will you sit next to me?

Hold my hand and let your presence calm my fears?

All it means is atimes words their story cannot tell,

Thy presence will speak more than a thousand roses.

Pray I when the sizzle fades,

We’ll find peace in this one thought,

So long as we’re together tis all I ask,

Tenderly unwind the tangled ways will face.

The expensive gifts you give,

All are but in vain if you’re not here,

My hearts love no money could ever buy,

Please let no treasures replace your love.

Let no treasures draw you away,

But our lives build by loving deeds,

Faithful foundation no turmoil could shake,

And prayers will adorn and secure our love.

What I want money cannot buy,

Hand in hand to walk in moonlites sky,

Share the joys of a blooming rose and laughter,

Will you enthrone me with this enchanting beauty?

The Masterpiece

Adorning the Sunsets

The rainbow across the sky flashed,
As the birds to their beat so uniquely danced,
Great new paths before my eyes slowly unveiled,
Joining with applause the waves in unison clapped .

The breeze its new song hummed,
Away all my fears it quietly shunned,
As the waters sweet freshness on me melted,
And the sky’s switching gaze crowned me with a glow.

Captured in this melodies I swayed,
As the sand skillfully foot prints it molded,
A sure loving reminder of the masters great touch,
Glazing my heart with worth no treasure could match.

Swiftly ashore the pebbles raced,
As the sun from the clouds warmly peeked,
Like the lone night star it gracefully reigned,
Its golden glitters gently over the horizon sprayed.

The song of praise cut the serenity great,
A warm melody of praise Gods heart to reach,
Thanking for this beauty I’m blessed to behold,
A masterpiece in my hearts treasure ever safely to keep.
